Laundromat

Silverton General Store provides laundry facility services for household laundry purposes. With three washing machines and three dryers available. Cost: Wash and dry cycles start at $5.00 each for the basic cycle. Hot water and extra spin cycles cost extra. Accepted: Loonies and Quarters Customers understand that this facility is to address a critically needed service in our community. Customers will: - treat the machines carefully, - not overload the machines, - refrain from washing industrially soiled clothing, - ensure that all contents that could cause damage to the machines are removed, - use the laundry strips provided, - empty the machines in a timely matter - wipe machines down with cloth provided The laundromat is open during store hours: Monday - Saturday 9am-5pm

Koots Kids Clothes

Located in the basement of Silverton General Store is a by-donation kids clothing and toy store. Open during store hours - Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm. Donations of clean and non-damaged clothes are accepted. Select inventory is located in the store and priced. The sale of these items are shared between the business and Koots Kids. We thank Robin McNabb for starting and operating this much needed community facility.

Storage Units

Basement storage units are available for rent from $60 - $200/month based on size. Limits to what can be stored: - No dangerous goods or combustible liquids such as paint or fuels. - No perishable goods. - No firearms. Storage Access: - Tenants will not be provided a key to the building or the basement. - Tenants are required to buy their own lock for the gate of their storage unit. - Tenants may access the storage during Silverton General Store’s operating hours. A hand operated elevator is available for moving large or heavy items. An SGS representative must operate the elevator which will cost tenants $20/hr. 48hrs notice is required. Storage Security and Damage - Storage units are separated by chain link fencing and have a lockable gate. Some units have additional concrete walls. - There is no video security system inside of the basement. - Storage is at your own risk. SGS does not provide insurance for your property and cannot be held liable under any circumstances for damage, loss, or costs that arise as a result from the use of this facility. - To further protect belongings, tenants are encouraged to use wooden pallets and water proof, dust free plastic bins where applicable.
